iPhone 4 and 3GS OS4

just a quicky i am upgrading to the new iPhone 4 soon is the app compatible and is it compatible on the 3GS running OS4?

Hi Keith,

We are currently in the process of testing Report-IT with iOS 4.0 on the 3GS platform, and if things continue to go according to plan, we should be submitting an iOS 4.0 certified version to Apple for their official review in the next few days. I'd like to give you a definite answer about the iPhone4, but unfortunately we are not able to at the moment.

Given that historically iPhone OS performs consistently across all iPod/iPhone/iPad devices, we do not anticipate that there will be any problems with Report-IT on iPhone4 once we confirm its iOS 4.0 compliance. In any case, we have every intention of providing Report-IT support across all Apple touch-based mobile devices that support audio input capabilities - and that of course includes iPhone4.

Since iOS 4.0 (and more specifically iPhone4) is an extremely hot topic at the moment, given its recent announcement and availability in the US next week, we'll post to this topic as soon as we have further news to report.

I hope you are enjoying the new features in Report-IT Live 2.3.1

update: we have completed our compatibility test for iOS 4.0 on the 3GS and all appears to be good. In fact you should be able to just use the current 3.2.1 versions of Report-IT Live, Lite, and Professional.

Update: please disregard my comment about 2.3.1 on iOS4. It mostly works, but there are a few quirks under certain network conditions that are being addressed in the 2.3.2 iOS4 release. We expect to have this out soon. Apologies about the early post, but there were still a series of exhaustive tests that I didn't realize hadn't completed yet.

ahwell, i upgraded to iOS4 sofar no issues that i have found but this is my testbed anyway so no biggie;)

As a quick update to this thread - both Report-IT Live/Lite 2.3.2 and the latest 2.3.3 are fully compatible with iOS4.

running now with a iPhone4 ios4.1 will report back over next few days, but all seems fine as i was running ios4 on my 3gs
