I'm excited about the new firmware which was announced for the Bridge-IT and Bridge-IT XTRA. I was wondering if anyone had any more information on new features, improvements, or an ETA. Specifically, I'd like to know if audio is now output on both channels when using a mono connection.

Hi UTAcomm,

I can confirm that the output will be on both channels on a mono connection for both AES or Analog connections.

The feature enhancements will include:

  • A significantly improved webgraphical user interface with new features.
  • The Opus algorithm as standard in Bridge-IT and Bridge-IT XTRA.
  • AAC-LD and AAC-ELD as standard in Bridge-IT XTRA.
  • AAC-LD and AAC-ELD in the AAC license pack for Bridge-IT.
  • AES input monitoring and enhanced headphone monitoring settings.
  • Data support for connections with Commander and i-Mix G3 codecs.
  • Support for sessionless IP connections.
  • 3 levels of user ‘lock’ functionality.

As for an ETA I will update you very soon....

Hi Gleidsons,

The Update is FREE. The process for upgrading your Bridge-IT or Bridge-IT XTRA is a little different than usual. Because this is a major update there is a Installer tool that you need to download. Each of the firmware update pages that i have provided above have a link to another page with the instructions on how to upgrade.

I like all new features EXCEPT one, the display goes black after :30 or so of no keypad activity. I would like an option to leave it on. Thanks!
