Hello,
I've been looking for an app to broadcast audio directly from the iPod, using the audio adapter dor ipod touch 2G, to stream via wifi onto the net, using server shoutcast.
Is it possible ot use for it Report-IT? Or maybe other app?

Report-IT is designed for exactly this application. You require a Tieline codec to receive the Report-IT stream which then connects to your Shoutcast server. The reason you cannot connect directly to Shoutcast server is because Report-IT uses special algorithms to ensure that the audio is the best it can be when coming from a wireless device. Wireless 3G and WiFi connections suffer from packet loss and this has a dramatic impact on audio quality. Your will find that audio will still be suitable for broadcast even when significant packet loss occurs. This is done by using audio compression algorithms designed for lossey networks as well as forward error correction and auto jitter compensation. A range of other techniques are also used to ensure you get the best audio with minimum latency.
You connect the Tieline Codec to your Shoutcast server using either balanced XLR cables or digital audio. (AES/EBU or SPDIF using converter)
